Hi to all.
Is possible to have the part-number for the 6th FAN ? I've added a second CPU and I have to add the 6th fan.
Italian support doesn't sell that. Where could I buy it ?

Hi
I have a bounch of R510 and R710 with different CPUs onboard.
I would like to have some replacement part, to share with both platform.
Can I safely assume that R510 and R710 supports the same CPU model? based on spec sheets of both platform, Xeon 5500 and Xeon 5600 seems to be supported by both
In example, can I buy 2 Xeon x5650 and will work on both platform ?
Anything else to buy? Special heatsink or rimiliar ?
Came to work today to discover this server (Dell PowerEdge 900) was down and was displaying those messages on the front LCD panel -
"E1410 CPU 1 IERR" and "E1410 CPU 2 IERR"
I'm concerned that it is giving the same error message for both CPUs. I haven't tried to reboot yet, but was wondering if anyone here has seen those messages and/or how to correct it, if possible. Thank you.
I have a Dell server, PE 510, which stutters when you use it. For example, when you type it will accept input for about 3- 4 seconds then there will be a delay, and it will then catch up.
The mouse moves, then stops a little and then catches up. It even shows this keyboard and mouse behaviour over remote desktop.......
When you ping the server you get a fast ping response then a slow ping response and then a fast one to a slow one and it just carries on in the same manner all the time
The final straw is that when you copy to or from the server you only get half the bandwidth, so if your on a Gb switch it will only copy 50 Mb per second.
Never seen a server do anything like this before!
Any ideas how to resolve?
Thanks all
Kevin
PowerEdge R820 server running Windows Server 2012 R2, with a Dell PERC H710P Adapter.
OMSA says my driver version is 6.802.19.00 and minimum required is 6.803.21.00
I cannot find this driver for my OS. Dell site only offers the driver for Windows 2008 R2.
Can anyone tell me where to locate this driver?
Thanks!

Hi,
We are trying to install a PERC H330 Mini Mono card onto our PowerEdge R430 server. It arrived with a cable that attaches to the mini mono card (photo 1) but has a cable that connects 90 degrees away from the clip (photo 2). We need a cable that has the mini mono pad from Photo 1, but with a 90 degree bend from the clip to the right, as shown in Photo 3. I can't seem to find the right part number. Can someone assist please? Thanks!

So from what I have gathered the I/O modules have their own IP addresses and I have set these and they are on the same subnet at the CMC. It seems you access these through the CMC gui itself by launching the I/O module GUI, I see the webpage redirect to the I/O IP that I have assigned and I am never presented with anything. it says the IP address refused to connect. Getting an err_connection_refused error. Can someone tell me what I am missing? Do the I/O modules need to be on a separate subnet? I wouldnt think so.

Hi,
we have Dell m1000e blase system with 16x m610 servers, we have a frequent error with random servers every now and then.
The system board Current Latch current is outside of the allowable range.
The system board fail-safe voltage is outside of the allowable range.
once we received that error the server shuts down permanently and stops respond to any action.
dos'e any one have a clue regarding this error or how to resolve it?
what could possibly cause such error?
is that error is a symptom of other failure in the system?
all the power supply are green, no power errors reported in the chassis overview logs or CMC logs.
the server firmware is up to date.
i tried to move the defected server to another slot to make sure it's not a problem with the slot however the server still showing the same error in the new slot.
please help.
thank you for reading
Hello,
Everything is fine and the system comes up and we can access CMC from both the LCD front panel and web-based administrative page.
The only problem is that we keep getting an alert/dialog with message "user has been disabled as front panel is currently active". The KVM cables (keyboard, mouse, display) are connected to the front slots (USB & Display).
How can we make the warning go away so that we can access the server list.
Thanks.
I just bought myself a dell Poweredge R410 from eBay and 2 xeon E5620's. I have myself Intel coolers and plugged them into the PSU directly. I also have 8 times 1GB DDR3 ECC ram sticks.
Is there a way I can jumper this board? I have been searching day and night how to do so but I can't seem to find an answer.
Here are the links to the things I bought.
Motherboard: http://www.ebay.com/itm/391211453798?_trksid=p2057872.m...
RAM: http://www.ebay.com/itm/201211914289?_trksid=p2057872.m...
CPU: http://www.amazon.com/Intel-2-40GHz-SLBV4-AT80614005073...
The most likely solution is to buy myself a front controller board (also from eBay) but I am not sure if just buying that would work. Is there anything else that I need?
Hello,
I have a problem with RAM and Dell PowerEdge T110 server. When you mount this RAM:
ELPIDA EBJ10UE8BDF0-DJ-F 240p 1GB PC3-10600 DDR3-1333 CL9 8c 128x8 1Rx8 1.5V UDIMM
The computer does not start. I tried to install the card in all slots - did not help. I have two identical ram and rule out the possibility of damage.
In the manual I found a description of the server:
"Your system supports DDR3 ECC unbuffered memory modules (UDIMMs).
The DIMMs can be 1066 or 1333-MHz. Single and dual-rank DIMMs can be
1066 or 1333-MHz. "
I do not know why the computer does not work with these memories
Hi,
The idrac card on an r820 spams me since some days, telling that the the storage BP1 power cable is not connected, or is improperly connected. Just some seconds later, i get a message that the storage BP1 power cable or interconnect is connected.
I received these 2 kind of message 1500+ a day...
Since the box is not on site, i cannot do a real hardware check, but, at the os level, there is no problem, the system runs perfectly with no related warning in the logs.
Is this a known problem, or should i worry about ?
Thanks for help and advices !

What kind of connection is needed to connect devices thru the SATA_A port on the T320 motherboard. It is a connector next to the SATA_E and SATA_F

What is the max recommended room temperature for a PowerEdge T410? I have a client that may have a cooling problem.
Hello,
I bought a refurbished R730xd without the rear 2.5" drives, and am now investigating how to add them. The system does not appear to have come with the necessary mounting hardware to actually put drives in the two rear mounting locations, so it appears I have to find mounting brackets and any associated cabling that may be necessary. Googling around, I have not yet been able to identify what the part numbers might be. Can anyone point me in the right direction? What are the necessary parts to make the rear drives work? And also, where do they connect or plug into?
Thanks in advance for any help
We're using Dell r930's running RHEL and Epic Cache. Anyone else doing this? Thanks in advance for your reply.

128 GB memmory:
8 X DUAL IN-LINE MEMORY MODULE, 16GB, 1600, 2RX4, 20D6F, BIC
we want to add 128 gb more memeory to the server
I have 2 question:
1. Currently we can only buy 8 gb DUAL Rank or 32 gb Quad Rank.
can we use any of above memories and mix it with our current memeory modules?
2. in whitch empty memory banks and in whitch order can we add the new memmories?

I have a poweredge t310 server, x OS SBS 2008r, i run this server internally to hold network database. The network card appears to have stopped working. Initially the server will take an hour or more to load, because its unable to communicate via the network card. The last time, they simply switched it to the second Network Connection , that appears to be connected to the Motherboard. Now a couple years later its happening again. This time the second one is failing.
Can i simply add a network card? or what do i need to know to get the right one for this server?
