Hi,
I have PER310 with 4GB RAM. I want to enlarge RAM. What is the maximum size of RAM in PER310?
i've found
32GB (in spec sheet) or 48GB (in dell web site). What is the truth? 4x8GB RDIMM or 6x8GB RDIMM.
thank you

Hi,
i have PER310. I install Windows 2012 R2 x64 through LCC. I dont have iDRAC. I need driver for Windows. (VGA, chipset, network card, PERC H700) Or Windows have this drivers in himself? Software to manage this server is OpenManage? (Temperature, RAID storage, notification).
Thank you
My PowerEdge R200 apparently failed yesterday, as today I found it off. Amber system status indicator is blinking and, when I try to start it, fans and lights start and stop 1-2 seconds later.
I've already unmount it from rack, plug againd power supply and tried to start it, without any luck. Diagnostic indicators are all off, there isn´t any beep at all.
Is there any way to know if it is a fault of PSU or if is is caused by mother board? I would appreciate any help.
Thanks in advance!
Hello,
I need to update my memories DELL R410 server, but information on the Internet is unclear. I can not find reliable information related to the maximum amount of memory that supports this server.
I need to install memories 128 GB (4 GB x16), and I would like to know the maximum frequency (1066 MHz or 1333 MHz). In some DELL documents specified to be 1066 MHz and in others that may be of 1333 and other documents specified that the maximum amount supported is 64GB.
It is possible a recommendation of memories from other manufacturers?
regards
Hi,
as the subject saysI'm unable to install the QLogic drivers for this server. They always say that the hardware is not supported so I'm currently stuck using older Broadcom drivers.
I'm aware that the Qlogic drivers should rebrand the Broadcom adapter to QLogic but this probably fails in my case (tested with the latest 20.x drivers).
Does anyone know a way to correct this?
thanks!
Hi,
The three last T110 II we have installed this year (now we get T130) have a recurrent bug. On boot they don't use the boot order list and we need to use the F11/Boot manager for selecting the H200 RAID.
One day...my server cannot start.. it appears e1000 failsafe,e1219 backplane pwrgd..then i called dell ,they said tje motherboard problem... then they email me they no longer suppoet for this server.my question is how do i wat to get my data from the hardisk? I try to read from pc but it cannot read it... please help all the data in there...
Hello.
After reboot the server not runs, and appear the next error on LCD display: " E2010 memory not detected. Inspect DIMMs".
The server has 4 DIMM of 2GB each one. I have tested diferent configurations: 1DIMM, 2DIMM, 3DIMM...to see if there are any NOK and still not runs.
What more can I do?
Thanks,
Hello,
I'm having an issue with the OpenManage Integration for VMware. I was able to set it up, input all the credential for IDRAC\Host and tested the connection with success.
A couple of days later, it wasn't pulling any HW stats. I've tested the connection again and the IDRAC credential failed. I haven't changed the password on the host or in OpenManage. I can test the credential a few mins later and it will show 'Pass.'
Is there something else I need to do?
Hello,
I received an alert on a R620 Poweredge server that i cannot explain.
In the statistics i see a Power Peak of 64868 W (221394 BTU/hr) this looks extreem to me.
Does anybody knows what can cause these extreme values?
is it perhaps a bug in firmware ?
The alert from OME reads:
The system board consumption current is greater than the upper critical threshold
Source : AlertAmperageProbeFailure.
I ran into issues upgrading my R420 with a 2nd CPU and more memory.
I installed E5-2420 (2 of these) Part # 726882887 and 128GB of RAM Part #A6996789. I also installed 02827M iDRAC Enterprise card from my interpretation of the manual.
I believe I already had 7KMJ1 in Riser 1, with the new iDRAC enterprise card installed. Riser 2 has a similar card with a 4 port NIC installed.
After installing the equipment, the front panel shows "The system board Riser cable or interconnect is not connected, or is improperly connected.". Under Storage, I receive "RAC0501: There are no physical disks to be displayed"
Console does not display any output. USB ports also do not power on keyboards either. I have iDRAC Express.
There is only one power supply installed, which is 550W. I reverted all the physical changes and it still does not seem to POST. I've tried all the tricks mentioned elsewhere to drain power or reset iDRAC but that did not work.
Any ideas? Also - I cannot SSH into iDRAC even though it's enabled.
I've got a PowerEdge R410 that came with a SAS-6 mezzanine card, part number HM030. I want to upgrade to an H700, and I also want to add a dual port NIC. My problem is that the only H700 I have is one that is designed to go in a normal PCI-E slot, which means I wouldn't be able to add the NIC. Is there an H700 that goes in lower, white RAID slot like this SAS-6 does, and if so, what is that part number?
Trying to run 2 Solid State Drives on a Dell R620. We bought some systems with H710 RAID and some without. We can get our SSD's to work with the H710 controllers, but we have not figured out how to makke them work without adding an additional RAID Controller.
Is there an onboard RAID for the R620? Or does it require adding a RAID Controller such as the H710?
I have multiple systems without controllers and we are looking to save money and not buy 8 additional controllers.
Thank you!
Hi,
We are looking to upgrade our R515 (12 bay, v1 motherboard) to cope with new performance requirements. Here is the proposed configuration:
Will this configuration work? Can I install these components myself without violating our service agreement with Dell?
Thanks,
Andreas
Hello,
I help look after 2 small primary school servers and am pretty new to the World of servers, so keep it simple please.
I have just had 2 PowerEdge T610 servers have a battery fail this week, one was on a windows 2008r2 server and one was on a 2012r2 server.
The 2008r2 server was still just about under warranty but the one running 2012r2 was 3 weeks out.
I contacted Dell about the 2008r2 server that was still under warranty and they got me to run DSET which confirmed the faulty battery and also that I needed to update the following firmware before replacing the battery. They sent me the software / firmware via a link which downloaded 32bit versions and all installed OK
PERC 6I from 6.3.0-0001 to Version 6.3.3-0002, A-00
IDRAC from 1.70 to 2.85
But I am totally stuck in regards to my 2012r2, I have never updated the firmware on either server and they were purchased almost at the same time, so would assume that before installing any batteries I will also need to update the PERC & IDRAC, but I do not no where to start as I find the DELL downloads page very confusing.
Do you think I can simply use the downloads I was sent for my 2008r2 server on my 2012r2 server?
How should I go about locating the correct drivers / firmware?
If anyone is willing to walk me through this process I would be very grateful.
I am looking to upgrade my 2 processers in my r610 and I currently have 2 e5520s and I am looking to get something stronger can anyone recommend what the max proc is that I can put in. Without having to upgrade my heatsink or any other upgrades. Not sure what type of heatsink I have if anyone has advice on how to find out, or what it will support just let me know thanks.
I recently acquired a C410x PCI Express Expansion chassis to allow multiple PCI-e GPUs to be connected to a single PCI-e slot.
The chassis that I have has a sticker indicating that it supports 8:1 mode, i.e. connecting 8 GPUs to a single slot. However, it actually only supports 4. I saw from the manual and a Dell blog that the oldest versions only supported 4, while the newer versions support 8.
I was wondering if anybody knows what revision is required to support 8, specifically what revision of the middle board? I am considering buying a new middle board to get the support for 8. My chassis is Rev A00, but I have seen reports of other A00 versions working with 8. I know that at least board revisions A00 and A01 exist, but I am not certain if even higher revisions also exist and are necessary for 8:1.
Finally, is middle board replacement alone likely to be sufficient for this or would I need new iPass boards too?
Thanks for any help.
Does the Dell R410 R710 11th Generation require iDRAC to operate?
Hi,
i have some servers, far from me, and I would like to know if these servers has iDRAC Enterprise witht ddicated port or not.
Can I check this info from a running server, maybe from OpenManage or I have to phisycally check?
Also, would be possible to configure the dedicated port from the OpenManage with no reboot ?
Kindly need your support to know how to fix error: UEFI0060 which display the following message
Power required by the system exceeds the power supplied by the power supply units (PSUs)
The server displays this message when the power supply gets down.
