STAG CGTC15J arrived from ebay strangely immaculate and intact bar its original SAS HDD. It passed all systems diagnostics and ran W10 OK on an SSD. After installing a PCI-E ingest card and testing it with its packaged software I loaded a new package to access it, and as I invoked it for the first time, the machine just died and would not boot up flashing 1&2 leds, even with a different PSU. No reassuring whirring sound when the mains power plugged in, and pressing the test button showed a sloid green light. No change with everything obvious disconnected from the motherboard, and all items disconnected from the PSU except the main connectors to the motherboard, no change, even after changing the bios battery.
I then pressed the front button prior to plugging in the mains power, it whirred and started to come to life, so I powered down, replaced all internal connections and connected to monitor, mouse and keyboard and it booted up to the following error message:
Error: Alert! Previous attempts at booting this system have failed at checkpoint [nnnn]
The screen vanished and the machine powered down, but I thnk nnnn might have been SMBA.
It has now gone back to square 1 and will not boot beyond a flashing 1 and 2.
Any suggestions welcome.
