The company I'm working for gave me the above server as a gift, but without any HD. I acquired two Segate ST3300656SS but when I cable both into their bays the server does not pass the BIOS. Both are recogniced fine by the SAS controller and when I uncable the 2nd disk I can boot fine from USB, install the Operating System (FreeBSD) on the disk and it boots fine.
With the 2nd disk attached the boot hangs in the BIOS splash screen, none of F2, F10, F11 is working and the small front bar shows ongoing disk activity.
What could be wrong?
