We just moved from a PE T110 to a PE T130 but came into a huge stumbling block in terms of our workflow. The T130 does not like any non-validated cards of any sort, causing the chassis fan to run at full blast when any card is installed. Dell ProSupport won't provide guidance on using some raw commands I found in the PowerEdge forums using the IPMITool so to get fax/modem and video card functionality, would these be an option?
1. USB Fax Modem
2. USB Video Card (dual monitor capable?)
Alternatively, I'll need to stack a pizza box system under or over the server to VNC in to do the work I need to do. This is doable but I would really prefer not to have two separate systems for a single workstation. Or has anyone successfully used the IMPI Tool to fix the chassis fan speed when using non validated cards?
System is running Windows Server 2008R2
