How To Access Self Hosted Poweredge T430's IDRAC Behind NAT

Hi sorry for noob question.  It is surprisingly difficult for me to search successfully or understand documentation.

I have setup a Poweredge T430 to host my client's premises.  It is working fine, but I need to figure out how to configure the iDrac portion so that I can access it remotely. I currently have the iDrac on a dedicated NIC.

Should I simply forward a non 443 port to the IP the iDRAC is on, for example:

I contact domain.com:55555 which the router forwards to port 443 at ip 192.168.1.5 ?

I tried this but nothing happened.  Am I missing the point?  I am sure this is easier than I am making it.  Clearly it isn't worth having a separate domain and IP for the iDRAC to use...

Many thanks for any tolerant advice given :)
